FWHS at FCCLA State

Students from Flowing Wells High School earned awards at the FCCLA State Leadership Conference held at the Tucson Convention Center.

FCCLA stands for Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America. The conference brings together students from across Arizona to present projects connected to their Career and Technical Education programs.

Flowing Wells students competed in events related to Education Professions, Fashion Design and Operations, and Culinary Arts.

Education Professions

• Gennesis Ruvalcaba earned 3rd place for her Chapter in Review project.
• Christina Espinoza Monroy earned 3rd place for her Early Childhood Education project.
• Juliette Thomas earned 1st place for her Toys That Teach project.

Fashion Design and Operations

• Milani Benavidez and Marcus Urenda earned silver medals in Fashion Construction.
• Amari Delk earned a gold medal in Fashion Construction.
• Melina Martinez earned a gold medal and 1st place in her division in Fashion Construction in her first year competing.

• Josiah Hardin, Zachary Rivera, Laila Varela, Christine Espinoza, and Valeria Carvajal Chavez earned silver medals.
