Thanks to the support of our community and voters, Flowing Wells is excited to announce the launch of our new Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM) program at Flowing Wells Junior High. Following the successful implementation of our elementary STEAM curriculum, we are thrilled to offer this new program to our junior high students. Our Junior High STEAM program provides a chance for students to dive into computer science, engineering, and entrepreneurship through hands-on, project-based learning. Throughout the year, students will explore different areas, including:

  • Computer Science Discoveries: Students will build skills in coding, app development, and web design.

  • Life Hacks & Accessibility: Using LEGO Prime, students will design and prototype devices to support their peers' accessibility needs.

  • Kick Start a Business: In this unit, students will partner with local businesses to design products and develop full marketing campaigns.

The program is designed to foster creativity, collaboration, and problem-solving while connecting classroom learning to real-world applications.
