Why is it important to get involved and make a difference in high school?

It’s important to be involved because of the large impact a person can have on not only their own life but the lives of people around them! Even something as simple as picking up trash around campus can make a difference. As well as getting involved in bigger activities can better prepare a person for their future, and teach lessons along the way!

Who is a mentor or role model who inspire you & why?

I’ve had two role models in my high school years, Ms. Brown and Mrs. Smith, both of which are my dance teachers. Teaching me to pursue my dreams. To continue pushing forward even in the hardest times, and to use dance as a true escape from reality, from the stress and burdens of life. They have taught me to be confident with my movements and with myself as a whole. They have showed me love even in my flaws. And have truly pushed me to be the best me I can be.

If you knew me better you’d know I…

don’t let my past define me, I don’t allow the faults of those around me affect the steps I take in order to be a better me. I constantly try my best to grow as a person.

What are your dreams for your future?

I hope to get my degree in Psychology to better understand the mind. Then after getting a Masters degree I hope to become a high school teacher in order to have the same impact on teens the same way my teacher did to me.

What is the bravest thing you have ever done?

Standing for something I know is right even when I knew the consequences were greater than the reward.

What do you love about Flowing Wells?

I LOVE the family environment, the love for the students; the companionship that comes with it. Belonging to something more than just immediate family or friends; but a community!

Who has been the most influential teacher in your career and why?

It’s hard to pick one specific teacher from Flowing Wells that has had the most influence in my schooling years. In all honesty, every teacher from third grade on, as well as every administrator who I’ve had even the slightest connection to

How long have you attended Flowing Wells?

10 years

What legacy do you want to leave here at Flowing Wells?

Even when I leave I’m still going to come back! Flowing Wells is more of a home to me than my actual house!! I’ve spent more time being at school learning, going to after school activities and even watching performances or supporting sports players! It's less of the legacy I will leave on the school and more of the legacy Flowing Wells leaves on me and my classmates! My years at Flowing Wells will forever be with me and I hope that one day in the distant future my kids can come to Flowing Wells.
